I have been playing this series since '07, I'd like to think that makes me an experienced player like you mentioned. Plus, what you call a "huge variety of items" is what many call item bloat, which I 100% agree with when it comes to this mod. No, mods like Anomaly aren't "almost required" just because you can't enjoy games that aren't difficult enough for you. Your problem is that you associate difficulty with good gameplay. and no Im not talking about just moving a difficulty slider than only gives the enemy more HP. So mods like Anomaly are almost required for experienced players who have extended game sessions. The days are shorter and the characters sem almost constantly hungry to the point where the game devolves into a constant search for food rather than exploring the game world. Why would I suggest the game needs improvement when it isnt even out yet? Because all games are developed to appeal to a wider audience so many aspects of games have to be dumbed down to be more forgiving to new players in as shorter play time, what that means is the player becomes over powered early in the game and the previously rare occurances and rare events seem to happen constantly if you play for a long session. WIth the ease of use of the UE5 engine it should be alot easier for modders to improve all aspects of the game. Alot of cut content and harsher survival mechanics were added along with a huge variety of all items, weapons, tools, artifacts etc, and all manner of gameplay improvements accross every aspect of the game. If you realy have Anomoly then you would know the huge improvements over the vanilla game. I'm trying to encourage modders to make the game as good as it can be, and your just argueing for no reason.
